Moskito is a medium (payload max. 6kg) RPAS hexacopter. We want to develop a versatile platform in open-source hardware. The concept has been spearheaded by Junaidh Shaikh with some fine tuning by the team (Yuleika Madriz and myself).
The payload can be easily attached and removed from the drone. Here you can see the drone with a magnetometer attached to a foldable arm to ensure noise reduction.
The idea is to make the design and the methods of fabrication available to the scientific community.
We are already working with a Moroccan university, Mohammed First University in Oujda as well as the IIT Gandhinagar in India and hope to extend our network of collaborations in the future.
